High Quality

High Quality Components Fitted Bespoke - from elevating roofs right down to screws!

Rear Travel Seats – for rear travel seats we will only fit fully European crash test approved seats – we specialise in the French manufactured RIB style, but can also fit the Reimo 333 seat. With full three point integral inertia seat belts as standard, we secure the seats to the floor of every vehicle to the manufacturer’s specification.

"Non Itch" Recycled Bottle Insulation – containing none of the irritant fibres found in the standard insulation material, this provides a safe product for both yourself and our fitters, as well as having an excellent insulation value. Manufactured in the UK – it will never absorb any moisture or water. For every one tonne of plastic bottles recycled for Non Itch saves one and half tonnes of carbon emissions.

Floor Insulation – we always insulate beneath our treated birch plywood floors with Airted Double Bubble foil insulation, giving you both a stable floor temperature and all over sound deadening. To prevent any chance of damp getting under the floor we never simply screw the birch plywood down through the steel van floor, but bond timber battens and then screw our floor down to these.

Hand Cut Furniture – scribed to fit perfectly to the contours of your van, every conversion we undertake is treated individually. All our units, cupboards, shelves and most importantly counter tops are cut by skilled finishing carpenters to fit exactly. No gap exists between the back of a counter top and the vehicle side or window, ensuring that your cutlery, pens and spilt drinks stay in sight and don’t disappear into and behind your cupboards below. None of our furniture is mass produced outside of our workshop, simply assembled on site and then mounted into your conversion.

Vohringer Poplar Plywood Fully Laminated Furniture Boards – we only use the very best light weight German manufactured Vohringer 15mm thick poplar plywood which is hot bond laminated on both sides. With a 15mm centre the furniture has excellent rigidity and the super hard Egger laminate finish will not succumb to the knocks of a campervan life. Far superior to any paper or vinyl finished product, your vehicle furniture will still look new after years of use and being half the weight of standard plywood you’ll also be carrying around half the load.

PVC Edge Banding – to ensure your conversion last even longer, where possible, we finish all furniture with a silver PVC hot glued edging tape that won’t fall off and peel away. Produced in house on our own edge banding machine the tape is applied with pressure and glue at over 200 degrees centigrade then trimmed by our finishing carpenters. Not only does it give a far tougher finish that the standard rubberised knock on trim but also gives a sharper and more professional look.

Swivel Plates – we only ever fit swivel plates that have passed the full European crash test TUV approval regulations. These regulations are in place for everyone’s safety and ensure that specific swivel plates are manufactured for specific vans. We would never make alterations to a swivel plate to adapt for a vehicle for which it isn’t designed. We feel that compromising on safety is not an option.

Varta Leisure Batteries – open the bonnet of a Mercedes or VW manufactured vehicle and 90% of the time you’ll find a Varta battery. Produced by German manufacturer Johnson Controls, Varta is a leading global brand recognised for being of the very highest quality. For this reason we have chosen to only fit their deep cycle leisure batteries in our campervans. With a life span greater than virtually any other wet acid leisure battery on the market, they will withstand far more discharge/recharge cycles. With any combination of a 60 amp hr and 90 amp hr we can make sure you will always have sufficient power. For a VW T5 we also locate your leisure battery on the underside of the van in a rigid stainless steel cage - this keeps all acid out of your living space, removes any possible problem of flammable gas being released whilst charging and also gives you more cupboard space.

Screws – virtually all of the screws used in our conversions are manufactured by the German companies Wurth or Hafele. With harder heads and deeper threads these screws can be tightened further and harder than cheaper brands, meaning your conversion is secured firmer for a longer safer life.

Fully European Safety Approved Elevating Roofs and Strengthening Frame – we only fit elevating roofs and their accompanying strengthening frames that have passed European TUV regulations. Manufactured in Germany by either Reimo or CF Maier Group (SCA), we will ensure that your roof is of the very highest quality. If you’re a visitor to the Highlands you’ll also realize the importance of keeping out the Scottish midge – all our elevating roofs are manufactured specially for Jerba Campervans with a fine midge proof netting (no see 'um) and not the standard wider weave mosquito mesh.

Full Gas and 230 volt Electric Certification – a conversion never leaves our workshop without full certification for both LPG (gas) and 230 volt electrics. Tested by engineers with full and specific qualifications, each conversion is delivered with individual certificates showing complete electrical and LPG testing and compliance. We also have our LPG storage boxes made specifically for us in powder coated sheet steel. Housing the compulsory gas regulator, the locker has folded or fully welded corners, a completely sealed door and is vented through the floor - ensuring no gas leak will ever make its way into the living area of your campervan. The locker is large enough to carry either two Camping Gaz butane 907 cylinders or two Calor propane 3.9kg cylinders. All our full power supply units are sourced direct from Hull based company Sargent Electrical, with kits and looms made specially for us we ensure that the electrical systems are always a perfect fit.

Commercial Grade Flooring – as standard our conversions are fitted with a super tough vinyl flooring that is commonly used in such locations as leisure centres, where foot traffic is high and conditions can be slippery. Available in a range of shades, small aluminium chips imbedded in the material provide fantastic grip even with the wettest footwear. Virtually indestructible this flooring won’t succumb to tears and scratches like so many cheaper versions.

Webasto Hot Air/Water Heating – when fitting a diesel heating system we always fully remove the vehicle diesel tank and place a new fuel line into the tank. Far simpler it may be to add a connection into the existing manufacturer’s fuel line, however taking this easier route will often lead to fuel supply problems for the heater meaning you might not have heat when you want it most. We also ensure that your heater will never use all the fuel in your tank, if the heater runs out of fuel we always make sure that you’ll have at least 10 litres (2 gallons) left to get to the nearest garage! We favour German manufacturer Webasto and fit their Airtop hot air heaters in over 75% of conversions – in the T5 the unit tucks neatly away under the driver’s seat and gives you hot air in a matter of minutes. Webasto heaters also have full European approval for use whilst your vehicle engine is also running.

Innovation – we’re always looking at ways to improve the quality of our finishing and to improve the look and practicality of your conversion. Never afraid to try new ideas we’re happy to listen to and work with you. From sealed steel gas boxes to hidden water and 230v inlet points we’re always looking for new ideas!
