Beneath our birch plywood floor we aim also to maximise the insulation and sound deadening properties of the campervan. We never secure our birch plywood floor by simply drilling screws through the factory steel van floor, we always bond down battens and then screw our floor into these - it gives a very secure hold that keeps your steel van floor totally intact and free from any possible water ingress. On the underside of the plywood floor we also bond a layer of foil bubble insulation, also manufactured by YBS Insulation it carries the brand name Airtec Double Bubble. Covering the entire underside of the plywood floor it maximises the insulating and sound deadening opportunity.
All our campervans are then professionally trimmed in a specialised automobile carpet lining which is bonded to follow the contours of the vehicle sides - keeping you warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer and avoiding condensation forming on the vehicle’s interior metal bodywork. As standard we fit a silver finish.
For the floor covering we find that a practical easy cleaning floor that is hard wearing and non slip is what most customers are looking for. Our solution is a commercial grade vinyl flooring that you’d normally find in locations such as sports centres. Available in a range of colours and finishes, wet shoes will always find a grip and with a super tough material you certainly won’t find the floor ripping, chipping and tearing.
