Taransay

Designed around the VW T5 Short Wheel Base vehicle, the Taransay is a conversion to suit those who want complete independence. The Taransay is designed with a side elevating roof that gives full head height along the length of the campervan (a factory fitted steel high top roof on the long wheel base vehicle only is also a possible option). With plenty of headroom in the rear section of the campervan the hob and sink area are set to near the height of a regular kitchen counter, making cooking much easier than in the traditional side kitchen unit layout featured in our Tiree conversion. The four seats and two adjustable tables to the front also give a much more communal feel to meal times and with room for a cassette toilet and privacy curtain to the rear, you’ll be prepared for anything!

We aim to give you a very well specified base van, so all our new conversions are based upon the VW Window Van range and we automatically include the following VW factory options;

• 102 bhp 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine
• Electric front windows and mirrors
• Opening windows on sliding door and opposite side
• Factory fitted alarm
• Single passenger and driver comfort seats – headrest, armrests, height adjustment & lumber support

Costs & Prices

Based upon the VW specification above and with the conversion as specified in the following standard layout, the price of the Taransay is £32,150 (including VAT).

The standard layout includes;

• Rear Seats - two rear single seats fully European crash tested approved and each with a three point inertia seat belt and integral adjustable headrest. Click here for more details and pictures.
• Two Single Beds - folding easily from the two single rear seats, each giving a bed of 185cm by 60cm (6ft 1 inch x 2ft). Click here for more details and pictures.
• Swivelling Front Seats - both driver and passenger seats swivel around to face the rear and give a great communal feel. Click here for more details and pictures.
• Two Tables - two removable and adjustable tables located between the swivelled front seats and the rear seats. Click here for more details and pictures.
• Hob and Sink - combined SMEV three burner gas hob and sink unit with styled smoke glass lid. Click here for more details and pictures.

• Fresh Water Tank - 46 litre capacity located on the underside of the vehicle - saving vital cupboard space! Click here for more details.
