To ensure that you have a reliable 12 volt supply as standard we fit a 90amp hour Varta leisure battery in the Tiree. Varta are recognised as being a one of the Europe’s leading battery manufacturers and giving you a top grade battery definitely makes a difference. Run the battery down and it will soon recharge to give the same performance as new - with 90 amps of power it will give you considerable independence away from a 230 volt source.

To avoid acid or battery charging gas fumes getting into the living space of your conversion, we locate the leisure battery in a rigid stainless steel cage on the underside of the T5 - up above the VW underside panels the battery has full ground clearance. Not only is this a far safer option than inside your campervan, but it also frees up more vital storage space. By removing four bolts the cage can be simply lowered down for easy maintenance access.

When installing either the Webasto hot blown Airtop heater or combined hot blown air and hot water Thermotop system, we include a leisure battery upgrade to 150amp as part of the package.

For the 12 volt and 230 volt power system we always install the high grade Sargent EC328 units. With fully integrated 12 volt and 230 volt consumer units (fuse boxes) and high quality charge relay system, life for you is as simple as it could be. A digital control panel will give you a range of information including leisure and vehicle battery charge, ampage draw, water tank level, outside/inside temperature and alarm set features.
