Taransay

As an official supplier of the Volkswagen T5 Motorhome SE based vehicle, Jerba Campervans is one of very few UK campervan conversion companies to have achieved European Whole Vehicle Type Approval. This is the highest level of European vehicle safety legislation and requires the testing of all rear belted seats in the shell of an actual T5 - for more information on our testing programme just click on the European Whole Vehicle Type Approval box on the left menu of this page.

Designed around the VW T5 Short Wheel Base vehicle, the Taransay is a conversion to suit those who want complete independence. With a rear elevating roof you'll have plenty of headroom in the rear section of the campervan, and with the hob and sink area set to near the height of a regular kitchen counter, you'll have a comfortable cooking position. The four seats and two adjustable tables to the front also give a communal feel to meal times, and the option of choosing a system that converts the two singles into one double bed simply adds to the versatility of the Taransay.

Our Standard Taransay Layout Includes:

• Elevating Roof - German manufactured front elevating roof with three large zipped windows, two with fine midge (not mosquito!) mesh vents. The roof closes to a maximum height of 2 metres. Click here for more details and pictures.
• Rear Seats - two rear single 60cm wide RIB seats tested by Jerba Campervans to UK seat and headrest strength regulations and each with a three point inertia seat belt and integral adjustable headrest. As standard we match the fabric on all our rear seats with the original VW factory fabric on the vehicle's front seats. Click here for more details and pictures.
• Two Single Beds - folding easily from the two single rear seats, each giving a bed of 185cm by 60cm (6ft 1 inch x 2ft). Click here for more details and pictures.
