Jerba Campervans Accredited to Real Living Hours Campaign

We are very excited to announce that we have just been accredited by Living Wage Scotland to their recently launched Living Hours campaign.

The Living Hours campaign builds upon the existing Living Wage accreditation and employers who join the scheme must provide:

·       at least 4 weeks’ notice for every shift, with guaranteed payment if shifts are cancelled within this notice period. 

·       a guaranteed minimum of 16 working hours every week (unless the worker requests otherwise).

·       a contract that accurately reflects hours worked.

Jerba Campervans is also an accredited Real Living Wage employer and we are committed to providing all our employees with wages and hours that maximise their opportunity to lead a comfortable home life and truly reflect the cost of living.

Living Wage Scotland was established in April 2014 by the Poverty Alliance with the aim of increasing the number of employers in Scotland who are recognised for paying their staff the real Living Wage.  It is a partnership with Living Wage Foundation, with Scottish Government as a key funder.

There are now more than 3000 Living Wage employers in Scotland, who have delivered pay uplifts to the real Living Wage to more than 60,000 workers and delivered more than £365 million of extra wages to low paid workers. Jerba Campervans is delighted to part of this vital campaign that through tackling wealth inequalities provides better social and health outcomes for people across the country.
