Breakdown Assistance in Europe

We hope that you never encounter a breakdown whilst out in your Jerba Campervan, however, if you do the Volkswagen Roadside Assistance provided with all our brand new conversions will ensure the smoothest of service and get you back to your adventure as quickly as possible. All brand new Jerba conversions come with a full Volkswagen 3-year warranty which includes the Volkswagen European Motoring Assistance. Your Volkswagen Roadside Assistance is valid not just in the UK but also throughout Europe so if you breakdown while on holiday in your camper then repair work, overnight accommodation and even vehicle replacement is just a phone call away. It is available 24hrs a day, 365 days a year – giving you peace of mind on your road trips.

United Kingdom

If Your Vehicle has a Breakdown while you are in the UK, please follow these simple steps:

  • Call 0800 777 172 from a landline or 0330 100 3242 from a mobile phone.
  • Advise the operator that you have Volkswagen Roadside Assistance.
  • Provide your details to the operator (your name, the model and registration of your van and telephone number)
  • Advise the operator of the location of your vehicle, the nature of any issue, and provide any other information requested by the operator.
  • Please do not go ahead and make your own arrangements, as VW cannot arrange reimbursement of costs incurred without prior authorisation.

Europe

If you breakdown while in Europe then please follow these steps:

  • Call Volkswagen European Roadside Assistance 24-hour helpline: 00 800 1330 3939. When calling don’t forget that dialling and ringtones differ from country to country and therefore the 00 800 1330 3939 number may not work from some telephone networks. If you experience difficulties, please use the following alternative number to reach Volkswagen European Roadside Assistance: 00 33 (0) 472 171 258. You will have 24-hour English speaking assistance – European garage mechanics and technicians are unlikely to speak English. Your European Breakdown cover will provide a translation service for you.
  • When you call state that the Vehicle has European Motoring Assistance and provide your details to the operator (your name, the model and registration of your van and telephone number)
  • Advise the operator of the location of your vehicle, the nature of any issue, and provide any other information requested by the operator.

The European Territory for Volkswagen European Motoring Assistance is:

French Motorways

If you breakdown on a Motorway in France, Volkswagen European Roadside Assistance cannot arrange for assistance to be sent to you. This is because Motorways in France are managed privately. If you do breakdown on a French Motorway or Motorway service area there are a couple of things you can do:

  1. If you can get to an emergency telephone box, please press the button and the police will send assistance to your location.
  2. If you are using a public phone please dial 17 or, from a mobile phone dial 112 to speak to get in touch with the police.

Once you have been towed off the motorway/service area, call the Volkswagen European Roadside Assistance 24-hour helpline for further assistance.
