Safety & Quality

VW Registered Body Builder

Jerba Campervans is one of a very small number of UK campervan converters who are officially registered as a Vehicle Body Builder for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. This registration process can only be achieved by invitation of Volkswagen and requires strict compliance with a wide range of key areas – from full Vehicle Type Approval safety testing to ISO9001 quality systems certification.

This official registration means we have a direct contractual agreement with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles – the supply of our new VW T6.1 vans is undertaken through the VW Edinburgh Van Centre which ensures all our vans have driven less than 50 delivery miles.

Safety Approved

Jerba Campervans is committed to converting T6.1 campervans to the highest levels of safety and finish. Unlike the vast majority of UK campervan converters we have full certification for two key safety areas:

Full Type Approval – a rigorous series of physical tests which are undertaken by the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and ensure your campervan is 100% safe to drive on the road. An assessment that covers everything from seat & seat belt installation to payloads & weight distribution. See our videos of tests that simulate a crash based on an immediate stop at 30mph.

NCC Approved – a 500+ point assessment by the National Caravan Council (NCC) which ensures that your campervan is a safe place in which to live. The assessment examines everything from gas & electrics to ventilation & fire prevention.

Highest Quality Parts & Finish

As a 100% Employee Owned company at Jerba Campervans we focus on providing the very best in quality – from the parts we use, through the craftsmen we employ, to the customer service we provide. Every conversion we build is seen as an individual project and we are happy to work with you on making adjustments to the layout and design that will really make your campervan work the very best for you.
