VW High Top Roof

A Volkswagen factory fitted full high top solid roof that provides sufficient internal head height for standing is only available on the long wheel base version of the Transporter T6.1 – it’s not a VW option on the short wheel base T6.1.

As the roof is factory fitted the rear doors are full height, meaning access in and out of the back of the van is easy and doesn’t involved ducking under the rear original roof cross section of the vehicle – a significant problem that is unavoidable when fitting an after market solid high top roof to an already manufactured low roof van.

The overall finished roof height is 258cm, which includes the 400mm x 400mm opening skylight that we fit. Inside the roof we insulate, line and trim every part, which keeps you warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer – it leaves an internal standing head height of 187cm (6ft 2).
