Jerba Campervans Service Department receives 80% funding for new equipment
We are delighted to share that we have recently been the recipients of a grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for 80% of the equipment costs to expand our new and growing vehicle service department.
This investment has enabled us to install state-of-the-art workshop equipment, including a vehicle ramp, lifting table and tyre machine. As a result, we are now able to expand our service offering beyond the leisure side of our campervan conversions to include full mechanical servicing and repair for all VW vans or Ford Transit vans.
Importantly, this new equipment has also been specified with the future in mind. With the likely growth of EV campervans, our workshop is fully prepared for increased vehicle weights and the differing lifting requirements of electric vehicles.
Supporting this investment in equipment, we have also strengthened our team over the past 18 months by welcoming Liam Archibald. Liam is a fully qualified Volkswagen Master Technician, with certification covering both diesel and fully electric vehicles. With over 15 years’ experience in vehicle mechanics, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Jerba Campervans team.
We have taken the decision to invest in mechanical servicing in response to customer demand and can now offer a full “one stop shop” servicing solution to our 700+ Jerba Campervans owners but also to owners of all VW vans or Ford Transit Vans.
Having significantly grown our in-house habitation check offering over the past five years now offering the service for VW California and Bilbo’s campervans, we are now able to carry out habitation checks, mechanical servicing and vehicle repairs during a single customer visit — all delivered with the same high level of Jerba Campervans customer care.
We would like to thank the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for their fantastic support as without this grant such an investment would not have been possible. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
